Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, particularly acclaimed for her critically acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew in Castle Rock Colorado. In the mid-1990s she began performing professionally and dancing in Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. Later in Minnesota in a small local theatre, she was a cast as a character in a mock film documentary on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. In Los Angeles, she pursued an acting career after her debut film in which she played an uneasy but fun contestant. Between June 1951 and September 22, 1962 she was married to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began when she signed an MGM deal in the middle of 1940s. She was discovered by actress and model Norma shearer. She appeared in a range of popular films during the decade that followed, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954) which starred Martin Lewis.
